Rising star Bryant Samuel joins Katsina United after turning 16

Just days after celebrating his 16th birthday, talented teenage winger Bryant Ebipade Samuel has officially joined Katsina United, signalling a bold step in his promising football journey.

Born on November 24, 2008, and standing at 5 feet 8 inches, Bryant is widely recognised for his dazzling footwork, pace, and versatility. He primarily features as a left or right winger, with the ability to operate effectively as a striker — a trait that has made him one of the most talked-about youth prospects in recent times.

Samuel’s early football foundation was laid at Diamond Stars Academy, Calabar, where he spent six formative years (2017–2023), honing his skills and tactical awareness. In early 2024, he ventured abroad for a brief stint at Vista Academy in Russia, gaining international exposure and adapting to European football standards. Upon returning to Nigeria later in the year, he signed for Rovers FC Calabar, where his maturity on the pitch quickly caught the eye of local scouts and club executives.

Now, as he begins a new chapter with Katsina United, Bryant becomes part of the club’s youth-centric recruitment strategy aimed at building a dynamic, future-ready team. His registration was finalised shortly after his 16th birthday, making him eligible for full professional status.

A Katsina United official expressed confidence in the club’s latest acquisition: “Bryant is a special talent. His energy, confidence on the ball, and eye for goal make him a perfect fit for our long-term vision. We look forward to helping him grow and making an impact in the league.”

Bryant is expected to commence training with the first team in the coming weeks, as he gradually integrates into the competitive rhythm of top-tier Nigerian football. The Changi Boys faithful will be eager to see the young starlet make his mark in the red and white.
