Four qualify for NICON Town Pool Top4 Challenge Series

Four players have qualified for the maiden edition of the NICON Town Pool Top4 Challenge Series, the organisers have revealed.Among the four qualifiers that made the cut are Charles Agbezin, Joshua Brume, Chijioke Isiolu (a.k.a Jokes man) and Babatunde Odukoya.

The eight-ball pool battle will hold on Saturday at the Nicon Town Recreational Center of Nicon Town Estate, Lekki. According to the organisers, “this Challenge Series is a monthly TYPE A event on the Snooker and Pool Players Alliance (SPPA) tournament classification where eligibility is restricted to only the Top 4 ranked players on the leaders ladder, an accredited Bar or club using the computerized Cue Sports Management and Players Ranking System.

“Charles Agbezin topped the ladder with 1054.50 points, Joshua Brume is second with 1044.00 point, Chijioke Isiolu is third with 1024.00 and Babatunde Odukoya qualifies with 1024.00.“Karo Ekewenu with 1032.50 lost 29 points and ended with 1003.50 after a history making 9 – 0 loss to Chijioke Isiolu alias “Jokes Man” opening a Top4 selection possible.

“Chijioke Isiolu alias Jokes man who was not within the Top 15 players on the Nicon Town Pool Leaders Ladder as at August 17, 2019 but his scintillating performance against some top players who were in the poll position for the top four challenge earned him a top four ticket with a 1040.00 points placing him third on the Nicon Town Pool leaders ladder.”

Nicon Town Pool, an affiliation of the Snooker and Pool Players Alliance (SPPA) is the Snooker and Pool section of Nicon Town Recreational Center of Nicon Town Estate, Lekki. The section has 48 registered members. The Pool Table of the section is managed using the computerized Cue Sports Management and Players Ranking System.
