Green House wins Christ College’s 13th inter-house sports

Green House, at the weekend, won the 2025 yearly inter-house sports competition of Christ College, Aiyetoro, Ogun State, which had the theme, “Talents with diligence.”

Hot on the heels of Green House (St Paul) at the competition chaired by Dr Leke Oshiyemi, a seasoned success coach and entrepreneur, was Blue House (St. Andrew), while Yellow House (St. Peter) came third.

In his opening address, Oshiyemi said: “It is not just about winning medals and setting records; it’s about getting a good lesson of life.

“You are all part of something bigger. Put yourself not just among winners, but also among those who will never give up. Here, I see both today’s and tomorrow’s leaders. Let the game begin and let everyone have fun.”

The proprietor of the school, Mr. Samuel Olatunji, encouraged the students to put in their best, saying: “Sports will help to discover your talents.’’ The competition began with 100 metres junior boys, followed by 100 metres junior girls, 100 metres senior boys, 100 metres senior girls, 200 metres junior boys, 200 metres junior girls and 200 metres senior boys and 200 metres senior girls.

There was also a bicycle race for girls only, while the boys participated in hurdles race. Speaking at the end of the competition, chairman of the school’s Board of Trustees (BoT), Pastor Samuel Olatunji, said: “I do not claim to do this alone, but we offer the best of learning and giving the of value education for life.”
