IGC 18th Ladies Open expects over 150 players, says Okunola

To celebrate the 18th anniversary of the Ibadan Golf Club’s Ladies Open, the club has opened its doors to more than 150 players drawn from across the country to participate in the competition.

According to the club’s Lady Captain, Mary Okunola, the Ladies Open, which begins today and ends on Sunday, has been programmed to thrill both players and friends of the club.

Tagged ‘Swing Sensation,’ Okunola said the event, which would be attended by the executives of Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LAGAN), also plans a lady’s night termed ‘Valentine re-mix’, football betting for tomorrow.

She revealed that players, expected to arrive at the club today, will partake in a cocktail, while action will start with veterans tomorrow.

An award night will follow immediately after ladies with handicaps 0-28 had taken the course alongside guest men, while the concluding games, most winning odds closing ceremony and prize presentation will hold on Sunday.

Okunola revealed that the event would signal the end of her executive’s tenure.

Other members of the outgoing executive, who served in the 2020/2021 committee, are Chief (Mrs.) Ronke Thomas, who served as Vice Lady Captain, Ms. Evelyn Oyome (Competition Secretary), how to never lose a football bet Ms. Grace Brown (Handicap Secretary) and Ms. Omolaraeni Olaosebikan (Secretary).

Speaking in retrospect, Okunola, who was also former vice president of LGAN southwest, said she was thrilled that IGC hosted many memorable events in the past,sports betting  including the western zone Ladies Open for two consecutive years at the IGC, as well as the Women Golf’s day.
