Katsina stadium facilities delight Emmanuel Amuneke, as 35 players begin final screening
Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, is satisfied with the facilities at the Katsina State Stadium, where the team is rounding off its preparations for the 2015 U-17 World Cup billed to hold in Chile later this year.
Amuneke, who believes his team would excel at the cadet championship if the players got the best of preparations ahead of the World Cup, revealed that 35 players were jostling for positions in the final team for the championship.
He assured Nigerians that all the players had equal chances of being in the team to Chile, saying that selections would be done without sentiments. “We are delighted to be in Katsina.
The facilities here are good enough to prepare the boys for the World Cup. I thank the Katsina State government for this assistance. The final preparation has begun and we just have less than two months to be ready for the championship. “My target is to work hard on the boys to bring out the best in them.
They will train twice daily m and I believe that how well we prepare the team for the World Cup would determine our level of success,” he said.
