Lagos Sports Commission holds tribute for Tinubu at Teslim

The Lagos State Sports Commission and the entire state’s sports family will today converge at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of the Teslim Balogun, Surulere, to pay tribute to the late Mr. Deji Tinubu.

The Lagos State Sports Commission and the entire state’s sports family will today converge at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of the Teslim Balogun, Surulere, to pay tribute to the late Mr. Deji Tinubu.

Tinubu, who slumped and died during a novelty football match on Thursday, was the Special Adviser on Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

The candle light procession will be held in honour of the pioneer chairman of the state’s Sports Commission and Special Adviser on Sports to the governor, whose tenure as the executive chairman of the LSSC witnessed pleasant development in sports.

The parade, which is expected to be led by Tinubu’s successor, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, will also have in attendance the Director General of the Sports Commission, Mr. Babatunde Bank-Anthony, among other top management staff of the commission, friends and well wishers.

Attendees at the candle light procession are enjoined to wear black/dark outfit.
