National Stadium comes alive as Ojez Entertainments reopen
Sports and social activities at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos are set to return in full swing with the reopening of Ojez Entertainments this weekend.
Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, has given approval for the reopening of Ojez Entertainment Center having been closed since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The management of Ojez Entertainments said they have rebranded and are fully prepared to render entertainment and sporting services like never before.
“We really thank the Honourable Minister for giving us the opportunity to reopen. We are creating an atmosphere for sports and social engagements as it is done in other stadia around the world.
“Sports men and women should be able to have a convenient place to relax and hold whatever social event they wish to have,” an official of Ojez Entertainment said.
The Ojez Lounge upstairs adjacent to the state box of the main bowl has been renovated and tastefully furnished to international standard waiting to be commissioned soon.
Speaking on the development, top Nigerian swimmer, Yeyah Yellowe, said it is a good thing that the National Stadium is fully coming back to life again.
“The National Stadium is where many of us launched our careers. Going back there or passing evokes good memories. It will be good to keep the place in good shape and functioning for our young athletes to build on their dreams.”
