Ndidi wins Leicester City’s September goal of the month

Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi alongside teammate Stephy Mavididi were announced as joint winners of the Leicester City’s Goal of the Month award for September.

Leicester announced Ndidi and Mavididi as winners on their X handle.

Both players each polled 26 percent of the votes casted by fans.

Ndidi’s brilliant individual goal in Leicester’s 4-1 win at Southampton in a Championship clash, emerged as joint best strike last month.

After receiving a through pass from Mavididi, Ndidi neatly dribbled past his marker before slotting past the Southampton keeper.

His goal put Leicester 3-1 up in the third minute of added time in the first half.

Ndidi has scored three goals and provided four assists in all competitions for the Foxes this season.

He featured for the Super Eagles in their friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique during the international window.
