New Bendel Insurance coach assures supporters of better days

Newly appointed coach of Bendel Insurance Football Club, Benin, Kennedy Boboye, has assured the management and supporters of the club of a turnaround in fortunes.

Boboye gave the assurance on Tuesday during his official unveiling as the new head coach of the Benin Arsenal at the Media Centre of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

The experienced tactician appealed for cooperation and support from the management, players, and fans, promising to apply his expertise in football management to restore the team’s competitiveness in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

“I’m here to work with everyone to ensure Bendel Insurance reclaims its rightful place in Nigerian football. With unity and hard work, we will achieve great results,” Boboye said.

Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Amadin Enabulele, expressed optimism that the appointment would mark a turning point for the club.

“This coach is a proven winner. He knows what it takes to succeed in this league, and he brings a mindset that aligns perfectly with our ambition for the club,” Enabulele stated.

Similarly, Chairman of Bendel Insurance, Jarrett Tenebe, said that although he was not satisfied with the club’s current standing, he was confident Boboye would restore its lost glory.

Bendel Insurance currently sits 19th on the NPFL table with six points.
