Buoyed by the recent influx of partners in its bid to develop the country’s football, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), last week, took its partners to Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, to intimate them on its path to growth.

In a ceremony dubbed ‘Dinner with the Best of Nigeria Corporates,’ the NFF celebrated such Nigerian brands as 33 Export Lager beer and Amstel Malta Ultra, among others, in an event attended by such big football personalities as visiting FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, FIFA Secretary General, Fatma Samoura and CAF President, Patrice Motsepe, as well as Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and leaders of corporate Nigeria. It was a special recognition to the brands for “their unwavering support to Nigerian football,” which has led millions of fans, who had hitherto focused their interests in foreign football, to return and follow the national teams with passion.

Commending the brands, NFF President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, said: “Nigerian youths are passionate about football and we are indeed glad to create the platform with which they can showcase their respective talents.”

The long-standing partnership award was received by the Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Emmanuel Oriakhi, who assured that the brands would not relent in the quest to take the country’s sports, including football, to a higher level.

The ongoing 33 Export Lager beer campaign, Let’s Go Naija, captures the brands’ full support for the Super Eagles and a reminder to the millions of football fans to cheer them to victory in the ongoing ‘Road to Qatar’ World Cup qualifying matches.

As the exclusive sponsor of the ‘Man of the Match’ award during the Super Eagles games, the team has recorded many uninterrupted victories notably the final qualifying matches to the next AFCON tournament in Cameroun, when they qualified with a game in hand and the ongoing World Cup qualifying matches, where they top the Group C standings with maximum points from the two matches played so far.
