Nigeria arrives in Cameroon for Camtel Beach Volleyball Championship

Nigeria’s men and women’s beach volleyball teams arrived in Cameroon yesterday ahead of the Camtel International Beach Volleyball Championship holding in Yaoundé.

Nigeria’s men and women’s beach volleyball teams arrived in Cameroon yesterday ahead of the Camtel International Beach Volleyball Championship holding in Yaoundé.

In the Nigerian men’s team at the championship, which will end tomorrow, Jackpot are Nigeria Police Force’s player, Obayemi Ogunshina and Nigeria Customs Service star, Simon Hilary.

In the women’s team are Nigeria Customs Service player, Francisca Ikhiede and NSCDC star, Livesport Amarachi Kelechukwu. The team is led by ANOC coach, John Iwerima.

Speaking on the championship, Virtual Coach Iwerima said the teams were poised to give their best in Cameroun, adding that the tournament would help the country’s preparations for the Beach Volleyball Olympics qualifiers scheduled for Ghana next year.

“Nigeria is not a pushover when it comes to beach volleyball and online sports betting we will give our very best at the tournament.

“As you all know, the Olympics qualifiers is coming up in Ghana from January 2 to 6, 2020. This championship will be used as tune up for the qualifiers and it is our prayer that Nigeria is present at Tokyo 2020 Olympics,” he said.

The coach commended the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, sport betting in nigeria Musa Nimrod for supporting the players, including the board’s decision to camp the players for a month in Kaduna before the trip to Cameroon.
