Plateau FA inaugurates media committee as club salute Moslems on Ramadan

Plateau State Football Association (PFA) has inaugurated its media committee headed by Sunday Samson Longbap, mandating it to take charge of the public image of the PFA.

Plateau State Football Association (PFA) has inaugurated its media committee headed by Sunday Samson Longbap, mandating it to take charge of the public image of the PFA.

With the inauguration, Emmanuel Choji Gyang, an executive board member of the PFA, is to serve as chairman of the media standing committee, while the chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria in Plateau State, Andre Bisyit of the Nigeria Standard newspaper will serve as the vice chairman of the committee.

Other members of the committee include Sammy Adesoji, Noah Noel, David King, Jerry Udoh, Attahiru Babayo, Steve Gacha and Mbum Ferdinand.

It also includes other executive board members of the PFA, including its Deputy Vice Chairman, John Barry, Larry Gowon and Mizim Emmanuel as well as secretary of the body, Sunday Adu.

Meanwhile, the management of Plateau United of Jos has rejoiced with its teeming fans and Muslim Ummah on the Ramadan fast.

A statement signed by the club’s media officer, Albert Dakup, described it as the period for sober reflection, which is one of the major pillars in Islam.

It urged the club’s fans and the Muslim Ummah to use the holy period to pray for the success of the team, as they strive to improve their fortunes in the second stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The statement further called on the Muslim Ummah to pray for the peaceful co-existence of the state and the country at large.
