Plateau Police ‘C’ Division Sallah peace football tourney begins


The Plateau State Police Command, on Monday, began a community-wide football competition aimed at fostering peace among the different peoples of the state.

According to the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Bartholomew Nnamdi Onyeka, the competition is a youth development and effective community relations project that will involve young persons in all the state’s communities.

He disclosed that DPO ‘C’ Division, LarryCarr Augustus, is the chief organiser of the event on behalf of the command, adding that it will feature participants from the division’s five wards, including Gangare Ward, Ibrahim Kastina Ward, Garba Doho Ward, Sarkin Arab Ward, online betting sites Abba Nashehu Ward and C” Division, Jos.

In a statement, at the weekend, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Alfred Alahbo, betting tips 1×2 said the tournament would be declared open by the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Onyeka, by 3.00 p.m. at Government Secondary School, Gangare, Jos.

The tournament, according to the statement, bet prediction is a two-week event that will end exactly two days before the Sallah celebration. The winner, it added, would receive N100, 000 only, with the second and third placed teams getting N70, 000 and N50, 000 respectively.

The statement listed the sponsors of the tournament as Plateau State Commissioner of Police, DPO ‘C’ Division, MALCO Mines, bet prediction site Ghali Pharmacy, Iliya Golden Touch, Moonshine Hotel, Nalele Pharmacy, A1 Food Restaurants and other peace loving citizens of Plateau State.

The statement said the event is aimed at creating a good and synergetic relationship between the officers/men of ‘C’ Division and the peace loving youths of Jos North Council, adding that during the event, confirm bet predictions Plateau Youths would be educated on useful security tips to effectively combat crime and criminality within the state. This, it added, would enable them to contribute their quota to peace building and maintenance of effective security within their areas.
