THE Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the national full council meeting of Nigerian Sports Journalists, tagged ‘Rivers 2015,’ says all is set for the event, which is scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt from August 25 to 29.

The event comes to Port Harcourt for the second time in recent times following the approval and support of the Rivers State Government.

Stakeholders have commended the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for the approval, which continues to give credence to his love for sports.

The LOC Chairman, Honour Sirawoo, while addressing a media parley in Port Harcourt expressed gratitude to the governor for approving to host the event and promised to ensure a smooth and successful hosting of the programme.

“We are indeed grateful to His Excellency the executive Governor of Rivers State for his approval to host this event. It continues to show he is indeed a sports loving governor.

“We saw that with his acceptance to host the Olympic qualifying game between the national Under-23 team and Congo as well as the friendly game between the Super Eagles and Niger which has also been penciled down for Port Harcourt.”
