Salah, De Bruyne named on PFA team of the year

Manchester City quintet, Kevin De Bruyne, Nicolas Otamendi, Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Kyle Walker have been named in the PFA Premier League team of the year.

The City dominated list also features Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Tottenham’s Harry Kane, both competing for the highest goalscorer’s gong.

The Egyptian forward, Salah has scored 30 goals while Kane has notched 25 league goals for Spurs

Goalkeeper David De Gea is the sole Manchester United player on the team, as is Chelsea left back Marcos Alonso.

Alongside Kane, Spurs have Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen named in the side.

Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, shortlisted for the PFA player of the year was not on the PFA Premier League team of the year. De Gea, Silva, Kane, De Bruyne, Salah are also shortlisted for the PFA player of the year award, with the winner set to be announced on Sunday, April 22.
