Super Eagles: Bob-Manuel canvasses support for indigenous coaches
Former international, Dele Bob-Manuel, has joined the call on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to entrust the country’s national teams in the hands of indigenous coaches, saying that no foreigner can lead the country better than the local trainers.
Speaking in Lagos during the recent Skyloft Sports and More Education’s joint Soccer Talent Search, Bob-Manuel, who is now a prominent football manager, also advised the NFF to create a conducive environment for the indigenous coaches and watch them excel.
“I believe very strongly in their ability because they are more familiar with our boys, our own style/pattern, our terrain and how best to manage our own talents. What is the foreign coach coming to do now?” he queried.
Speaking on the benefits of the Skyloft Sports and More Education’s joint Soccer Talent Search to Nigeria, Bob-Manuel described it as a venture that would unearth and nurture hidden talents for the country.
Earlier, the Director of Information of the talent search, Mr. Paul Ogunlaja, had revealed, “everything is in place to give Nigerians the best of football trials in an open manner that has never been witnessed before.
