The General Overseer, The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye has extolled the unique name of Jesus, saying the name performs wonders all the time. He specifically recognised Wonderful among the names given to Jesus, noting that because His birth and conception was wonderful, no other names can bring salvation and deliverance except the name Jesus.

Adeboye, represented by National Overseer (Nigeria), Pastor Joseph Obayemi spoke on the theme: ‘His Name Is Wonderful’ at Police College Ikeja, Lagos during a special Christmas service to mark the end of 2018 Lets-Go-A-Fishing programme.

Adeboye explained that Jesus Christ has five unique names that work wonders for those who trust and believe in them. He spoke expressly on the name Wonderful, where he highlighted that Jesus was there before we were created, that His name confirms that He is never dead, that anybody that believes in Him can also do signs and wonders like Him.

Similarly, His name can bring fortune and influence to the world, heal the broken hearted, give peace to every storm, restore destinies and cancel sorrow, both physically and emotionally, he said.

Also, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Missions, Pastor Brown Oyitso, who also doubles as the Pastor-In-Charge of Region 19, the First Born Family, reiterated that the region has continued to touch lives over the years in line with the General Overseer’s instruction.

On behalf of the Family, he gave out over 3,000 bags of rice to worshippers who stormed the service. The Programme Coordinator for Region 19, Pastor Sola Agunbiade stated that apart from the physical needs, the region has also been able to meet the spiritual needs with the word of life ministered by Pastor Obayemi.

The Pastor-In-Charge of CSR, Lagos Province 23, Gbagada, Pastor Ade Omokorede said apart from the distribution of foodstuffs and cooked food in all the parishes in the region, soul winning is the primary goal, as more than 100 souls gave their lives to Christ during the programme.
