Artmosphere To Host Osundare June 20

Artmosphere, a leading literature, culture and reading culture event based in Ibadan and organised by WriteHouse Collective, will on June 20, 2015 host Distinguished Professor of English at New Orleans University, U.S., and winner of 2014 Nigerian National Merit Award to a reading and discussion session.

Artmosphere, a leading literature, culture and reading culture event based in Ibadan and organised by WriteHouse Collective, will on June 20, 2015 host Distinguished Professor of English at New Orleans University, U.S., and winner of 2014 Nigerian National Merit Award to a reading and discussion session.

It is tagged Songs of the Marketplace. Venue is NuStreams Conference Centre, KM 110 Iyagunku Road, Alalubosa GRA, Ibadan. Time is 3pm.

The ‘Poet of the Marketplace’ is also an artistic activist, political commentator, columnist, teacher and philosopher. The event will engage Osundare’s creative works. The engagement will also thrive on his life in different shades of performance as well as his position on sociopolitical issues in the country. To moderate this edition will be also Poet Laureate and author of The Sahara Testaments, Tade Ipadeola, with Femi Morgan, as curator and Managing Partner of WriteHouse Collective. There will also be contemporary music performances and book signing at the event.

Artmosphere is organised by WriteHouse Collective, and supported by Ibridge Hub, a place for people with great ideas to meet, learn and work. This edition is also supported by literary friends across the
country.
