At thanksgiving, Adejumo tasks youths on diligence
Pastor of Acts Baptist Church, Ogudu, Lagos, Matthew Adejumo, has implored youths to be diligent, to influence their generation and the world.
Adejumo stated this while speaking at the thanksgiving service in honour of the graduating students of Caleb International College (CIC).
“You cannot fulfil purpose until you impact lives. So, bear in mind that you were created to impact lives. Stop complaining about problems of the world. Rather, be the solution provider. You should depend on God and the right character that can take you to great heights.
“In creation, God said let there be light. The function of light in that exercise was to set the pace for His children and in this kingdom, Jesus has called us to be shining light, meaning He desires that Christians be pacesetters.
“When we talk about being a pacesetter, it means you will champion an uncommon cause, which is connected to finding solutions to the world that is sickly.”
Noting that the students had been prepared for the future, he said they should avoid cultism, complacency and an entitlement mindset.
“God created you for a purpose and there is no other person like you. So, there is no cause for comparing yourself or competing with anyone. You have a mandate you must carry out and education is the platform to achieve it. And remember to embrace challenges as an instrument to shape your life,” he said.
