God is omnipotent and omnipresent, that is, He is all-powerful and His presence is everywhere, yet He has chosen to make man the channel of His blessings to humanity.
God’s favour towards His children is like Niagara Falls. You look at 186,000 tons of water crashing over the precipice every minute and think: “Surely this cannot keep going at this force year after year.” Yet it does! That is the way God is about showing us His favour. He never grows weary of it. It never bores Him. The Niagara of His favour has no end. Therefore, let us seek to abound in His favour.
God’s favour upon our lives makes us to be creative, productive and industrious. When God’s favour is activated in you, it makes you to excel and to be successful in whatever you do. Every Christian is a receptacle channel of the grace of God and could be an agent of transformation in society for good. The Holy Spirit of God in us is the Spirit of wisdom, power and creativity. Through the Spirit, we receive what it takes to bless humanity and society.
We need men who carry God’s favour on them in strategic positions in our nation. Men with God’s favour change the narrative of a nation or society like Isaac, Joseph, Esther, David and Daniel did. These five impacted their generations and left indelible marks on their societies.
Isaac transformed the land of Gerar through his skill in hydrology. The Philistines acknowledged that he was anointed in drilling for water. He drilled nothing less than four wells, and possibly as many as seven wells because the last well was called Beersheba meaning, the Well of Seven. Where the Philistines failed to get water, Isaac succeeded (Genesis 26).
Joseph’s influence in Egypt is well known. As Prime Minister of Egypt, he saw the nation through a period of prosperity and guided her through a period of famine and drought. His leadership and skillful management of resources brought stability to Egypt at a very critical moment.
Esther’s influence and cooperation with Mordecai saved the Jews from total annihilation in Shusan. Their combined efforts brought the Jews to the limelight in Shusan.
David’s resume is summarised thus, “a skillful musician, a mighty man of valour, a warrior, one prudent in speech, a handsome man,” and the Lord was with him” (I Samuel 16:18). Beside this, David’s impact on Israel was phenomenal. As the king of Israel, God’s unique love for him overshadowed the nation.
In 2021, I wrote this about David: “His greatness was due to a combination of factors, namely, providence, courage, divine anointing, his leadership skills, his exploits as a warrior, his psalms that re-echoes humanities emotional struggles, his unparalleled quest for God and his statesmanship as a king.”
Daniel’s influence in Babylon was phenomenal. His influence extended through the reign of four kings in Babylon.

Daniel found favour before the king he served, and was used by God to unravel and interpret the complex dreams the king had. Though he had many adversaries who wanted to implicate him, they failed because Daniel enjoyed the favour of God upon him (Daniel 1:9; 2:48; 4:8,9,18; 5:11-12).
