A Yoruba social cultural organisation the Egbe Omo Yoruba, North America chapter has commended the ‎Governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, for promoting the culture and tradition of the Yoruba ethnic nationality.

The organisation made this commendation during a courtesy to the governor at the Governor’s Office, Osogbo.

Egbe Omo Yoruba, s‎peaking through its National President, Mr. Bolu Omodele, noted that Aregbesola has proven himself worthy as a good Yoruba Ambassador.

‎He stressed that the governor needs to be encouraged by all for his selfless efforts and determination in promoting and showcasing Yoruba cultural values to the world.

The organisation promised to collaborate with the state in improving its revenue for sustainable growth. According to him, “As Yoruba nationality from the source, we are convinced that we can assist in boosting the revenue base of the state through investments. One area, which readily comes to our mind is in agriculture as we shall be requesting from the government land for agricultural purposes,” the president told the Governor.

In his response, governor Aregbesola emphasised that, any society that discards its culture and tradition may have its history and tradition going into extinction.
