The Dean, Ikeja Deanery, Archdiocese of Lagos and Chaplain of Serra Club of Lagos, Very Rev. Fr. Patrick Obayomi has called on the government to support calls for State police and community police.

He made the call yesterday during the District 190-Cm Nigeria 2019 yearly Convention of Serra Club of Lagos with the theme: “Managing our rich harvest of Vocations,” which was preceded by Holy Mass at Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Lekki Phase I, Lagos.

He congratulated the outgoing District Governor, Serra International, District 130-c, Nigeria, Serran Alphonsus Oladele Olagbaju for his successful tenure, disclosing that members of Serra are lay Catholic men and women of all ages and backgrounds who ensure the future of the Church by creating a “culture of vocations.”

Olagbaju in his comment was happy to disclose that among other things, he was able to initiate the building of Pilgrimage Centre with initial estimate of 50 million naira, which has gulped about N10m while his successor, Serran Bernard Ogunlala would continue, as he would also make himself available to render assistance to complete the project.
