Deans, Others Benefit From Okpara Varsity IGR
THE school authorities of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUA), Umudike, Abia State, has given out 11 latest model of Toyota cars to 11 Deans of Colleges of the school.
Speaking before handing over of the cars, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Hilary Edeoga, said the vehicles were purchased from MOUA’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), noting that this is the first time such is provided. He urged the deans to use the cars strictly for official duties and also to handle them the way they would handle their private vehicles.
Edeoga revealed that 20 mini Suzuki fuel-economy vehicles are being expected to add to the 20 already operating in the campus to ease mobility in the school. He noted that his administration has provided five brand new Hyundai buses and 45 brand new Kia and Hyundai cars to serve as campus shuttle.
The VC also revealed that five Hilux vans have been procured for the Security Unit, Centre for Project Development, Revenue Generation, Physical planning and Internal Audit Unit.
