A new marketplace connecting talent, professionals & stakeholders service called FameFinder has just launched in the Nigerian online space.

The new service, which gives its users access to talent, jobs and insights, help; achieve success in the African entertainment industry.

Within a short period since it’s launch, it’s been referred to as the ‘Linkedin for African Entertainment – Industry Professional’. Founded by 4 young minds, Theresa Akpeki, Francess ‘Haddy’ Jagne, Victor Chukwude and Caleb Egwuenu, the team is based in Nigeria and the UK with strong ties in West Africa.

Speaking on how it all started, one of the co-founders, Victor Chukwude said, ‘We all came up with it; it started as a humble idea on a few post-it-notes that we stuck on the wall. Each and every one of us had ‘normal’ jobs but FameFinder just grew and took over our lives. We love it and are so excited to share it with the world’.

He further explained that the service is a tech business basically an online platform for the African entertainment sector where talents can connect with professionals in the entertainment business.

“Imagine the possibilities of a young person in the UK connecting with a record label in Nigeria or a superstar in Ghana discovering a songwriter in Kenya all through one website and at no cost”.
