Glo Laffta Fest Excites Ibadan

The ancient city of Ibadan was agog over the weekend, as telecommunication company Globacom stormed the area on Sunday, alongside notable artistes, for the Glo Laffta Fest. Thousands of attendees, who started arriving the Jogor Centre, Ibadan venue of the event from 1.00pm were grateful to brand for providing them with a memorable evening of fun.

The ancient city of Ibadan was agog over the weekend, as telecommunication company Globacom stormed the area on Sunday, alongside notable artistes, for the Glo Laffta Fest. Thousands of attendees, who started arriving the Jogor Centre, Ibadan venue of the event from 1.00pm were grateful to brand for providing them with a memorable evening of fun.

Iconic comedians like Julius Agwu, Bovi, Still Ringing, Odogwu, Bow Joint, Bash, Acapella and Seyi Law treated subscibers to sublime entertainment and rib cracking jokes.

DJ Spinall interspersed the acts with popular beats  from his wheel of steel while Ibadan based comedians made a good showing as they whetted the appetite of the audience as prelude to the main performances of the evening.

The main anchor of the show, Ace comedian, Bovi, was in his elements as he excitedly introduced the comedians one after the other whilst engaging the audience.

God win exponent, Korede Bello’s appearance on the stage threw the audience into rapturous applause, as the audience became co-performers with the Supreme Mavin Dynasty’s star, as they echoed the lyrics of the song with enthusiasm.

Fuji king, Saheed Osupa took the show several notches higher with the full complement of his band to serenade the highly elated audience. Osupa, a son of the soil played the solidarity card as he belted out his popular songs with his sonorous voice, which rang into the night, finally drawing the curtains on the six-hour-long show.

Commenting on the show, the Zonal Director of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Femi Atoyebi, who attended the show, commended Globacom for sparing no expense to delight its teeming subscribers round the nation. He described Globacom as the toast of the masses which has consistently looked out for the well being of its subscribers with its affordable, yet quality products and services, as well as its vintage stress-dousing shows.

Globacom’s State Manager, Oyo 1, Mr. Tunji Omoworare enjoined subscribers to keep on using Glo as the company was committed to meeting their expectations at all times.
