Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Our God Almighty is all powerful, great provider, who generously ensures that His children lack nothing good by giving in due time, the needs of His obedient children. He comes to the rescue, and aid of His people in times of need, even when all hopes are lost. His intervention comes when every human effort has failed, and He will come at the right time to bring succour and comfort to the people that serve Him with all their heart. The Bible showcases this through Divine visitation to Prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 19:1-7 thus, “And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time. 3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beer-sheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. 4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. 5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. 6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.7 And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.”

Prophet Elijah needed food and protection most at that moment, but his most important need was food, and God knew and brought food and water through an angel. At the same time as a result of Elijah’s decree there was no rain, and famine set in to the extent that people were dying of hunger. God eventually directed him to the woman of Zeraphath who fed him till rainfall returned, and famine ceased.

Elijah was running away from King Ahab and his wife, Jezebel following the latter’s threat to kill him. When they eventually saw him they did not remember the threat again. This is divine intervention. God does not allow His people to continue in lack, or keep thinking of how to bring solution to their problems.

In Matthew 6:30-33 the bible further highlights thus: “Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore, take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

God in His wisdom is advising His children against thinking about their needs of feeding, clothing and shelter for He is very much aware of our needs for all these. After all, He makes provision for the birds of the air, animals in the bush, yet we are much more important than those ones because human beings are created in God’s image and likeness serving as His representatives on earth. We are therefore precious to Him especially the born again Christians. He demands we seek and serve Him. At all times God is making provisions for our needs to ensure we do not lack any good thing.

In 2 Chronicles 16:8-9 the bible says, “Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet, because thou didst rely on the Lord, he delivered them into thine hand. 9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.”

We are given protection under the watchful eyes of Almighty God who, with eagle wings, shields us from the afflictions and arrows of the devil and his agents. If we rely on the Lord, there is nothing that the devil and his agents can do to us. God knows that we need protection and He provides it for us. He blesses our works and businesses to ensure we have the resources to take care of our daily needs. God wants every human being to engage himself in gainful employment, either self-employment or paid employment in order to make money for both personal and family upkeep. It is through gainful employment that God blesses His people.

In Isaiah 37:30-35 the bible says, “And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of the same: and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof. 31 And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward: 32 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the Lord of hosts shall do this.33 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the King of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it. 34 By the way that he came, by the same shall he returned, and shall not come into this city, saith the Lord. 35 For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.”

God is also interested in the peace of the nation, and the cities therein because it is in the peace of the nation the atmosphere for serving Him will be available. He therefore defends the cities against external aggression and spiritual attacks. God fights for His people and for the peace of their cities. He has the power to provide the needs of His people. For the sake of the people of God, there will be peace in our environment and in this nation, and by extension the entire world to enable us carry out our grassroots revival all over the world in pursuit of the actualisation of the ten-billion soul mandate.

We should, therefore, draw close to Him, serve Him without looking back. He is ready to defend us and provide for us. The bible again invites us to come unto Him in Matthew 11:27-28 saying, “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Our Lord Jesus Christ has all things delivered unto Him by God. All powers and resources are available to Him and He has given invitation to all to come unto Him to have rest. Christ is open to all for salvation of soul, for freedom from the bondage of the Satan and his agents. For any man coming to Christ must be born again, accept Him as Lord and Saviour, live holy and righteous life you will have all the good things from God and make heaven at last in Jesus name.

“And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of the same: and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof. 31 And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward: 32 For out of Jerusalem shall of hosts shall do this. 33 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it. 34 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the Lord. 35 For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.”
