GREGORY University Uturu (GUU), Abia State at the weekend held its fourth matriculation ceremony. The ceremony saw 136 freshers taking their matriculation oath.
The founder and Chancellor, Dr. Gregory Iyke Ibe, hinged the early introduction of engineering courses to the school as a way of developing the southeast region and the nation at large.
He disclosed that one million engineers need to be produced in the country for within a short while to make the country meet up with others.
Ibe called on parents and guardians to allow their children to stay back in the school during vacations to work in factories run by GUU and earn some income, adding that pioneer students have been given 30 per cent tuition fees rebate.
