Colossians 1:9, 10; “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom...

Colossians 1:9, 10; James 4:3; Luke 6:44; Matthew 7:7; 13:23; Deuteronomy 32:32; Hosea 10:13; Galatians 5:19-22; Psalms 1:3; 91:1; 127:3; John 12:24; John 15:2, 5; 5:14; Jeremiah 29:11; Malachi 3:11.

Colossians 1:9, 10; “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Apostle Paul said they have heard about the conversion and commitment of these Colossian people, and they were so glad about it: they were also praying for them so that they might be growing in knowledge and be fruitful in every good works. The fruitfulness in this place is all encompassing. He said: “In every good works”: physical, spiritual and material; as they were “walking worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing.” This always is the result: your worthy walk and pleasing work would precede your fruitfulness. You cannot be a thief, a prostitute, fraudster, dubious person, ritualist, murderer, unclean person or a sinner of any kind, and still be expecting God to give you fruitfulness. “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts” (James 4:3); when you come out of sin, and surrender to Christ, and begin to walk worthy and work pleasing, then you will be a recipient of the fruitfulness Paul was talking about.

Of course, there are two ways you can bear fruit. But the kind of fruit you bear is dependent on who you really are: the fruit of someone in the devils kingdom would be different from that of a Christian. “For every tree is known by his own fruit: For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes” (Luke 6:44). What kind of fruit do we find in Satanism?

• Corruption: Matthew 7:7; “Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth evil fruit.” You don’t expect Satan to give you anything good. If he gives you cap, you will get a wound on your head; if he gives you shoe you will have elephantiasis. Even Satan devotees knew there is no permanent gift from the devil. His gifts are temporal and superficial.

• Bitterness: Deuteronomy 32:32; “For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the field of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters of bitter.” There is nothing good you do before them that they will be satisfied about. They are resentful and bitter.

• Deceit: Hosea 10:13; “ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies…” The fruits of deceit are not palatable at all. Whoever receives it would be disappointed. You carry your problems to them; they add more to it. They will lead you to destruction and laugh you to scorn in secret.

• The fruit of the flesh: In summary, Galatians 5:19-21; “now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murder, drunkenness, reveling, and such like…” There is freedom in the kingdom of darkness to do whatever you like: If you are not satisfy with your own woman, you are free to go into adultery; as a youth, fornication is the children’s bread; as you go into night club and all other places with your boy-friend or girl-friend. The only don’t that exist in Satanism is holiness.

Immediately after this, in verse 22, “but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith”: which means you either bear the fruit of evil or of the Spirit. Your fruit tells a lot about you. But, before you can bear the fruit of the Spirit, some conditions must be fulfilled:
