All Souls Anglican Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, has flagged off activities to mark its 30th anniversary, starting from May 1, 2025, to November 2, 2025.
In a statement signed by the secretary of the planning committee, Mr Nnaemeka Okere and Chairman, Dr.Oluremi Faderera Johnson-Ojelabi and Vicar of the church, Ven Folarin Shobo, disclosed that the celebration would round off with awards ceremony on November 2, 2025.
Other activities to celebrate the event include the official unveiling of the 30th anniversary and medical outreach scheduled from May 17 to 21, 2025 and children’s church day slated for June 1, 2025.
The rest events include the grand finale with Professional Harvest holding on June 29, 2025 and Pleasant Sunday of Hymns on July 27, 2025.
On August 17, 2025, the youth and children will hold their harvest, while the state harvest will hold on September 28, 2025 to be followed with a three-day revival from October 1 to 3, 2025.
On the line up of event is also choir festival and anniversary slated for October 5, 2025.
The statement noted further that there would be an Open Market Day on October 18, 2025 to be followed by 25 to 30 hours of praise and worship on October 24, 2025.
On October 31, 2025, there will be a dinner and unveiling of the anniversary brochure and award night while the grand finale will be on November 2, 2025. Adult harvest is slated for November 9, 2025 and Gleaners Harvest for December 14, 2025.
Started with 16 worshippers in 1993 in Rev. Oludade Akintobi’s sitting room, the church was later named All Souls Anglican Church.
It became a full fledge Anglican Church with the name All Souls Church, Ilupeju, on November 2, 1995 under the late Very Rev. T. A. J. Oluwole, then (Archdeacon of Idi-Oro)
The foundation stone of the church building was laid by the late Most Revd. Joseph Abiodun Adetiloye in November 1999 and was dedicated in August 2011 by the retired pioneer Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos Mainland, The Most Rev. Adebayo Akinde, Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos Mainland Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. B. C. Akinpelu Johnson will preside over the thanksgiving service.
