Churches Lack The Efficacy Of God’s Word, Says Pastor

Pastor David Abolaji of the Bible Restoration Fellowship, Ifako, Gbagada made this observation during a briefing to create awareness on the forthcoming Lagos Ministers Meeting (LMM) of End-Time Message Believers, which will be hosted at the church premises, Ifako, Lagos.

Disclosing the purpose of the LMM, scheduled for May 22, Abolaji said it is intended to discuss strategies through which the gospel could be preached with life-changing impact on the citizenry.

“We shall be discussing how people will be able to receive the undiluted word of God and how the same will transform their lives. If the lives of the people are transformed, there will be no armed robberies, homosexuality and many such vices, found even in churches. These things only show that the efficacy of the word of God is lacking,” he said.

Asked to expatiate on what was meant by the End-Time Message, Abolaji said, it is a Message sent by God to call out a “Word Bride” at the end time. He cited Malachi 4:5-6, explaining that God sent one William Marrion Branham with a mission to restore the church back to apostolic doctrines.

Abolaji said it was not just another denomination but a call to believe the Bible from Genesis to Revelation without the addition of creeds and dogmas. He added that the Message teaches the practice of what he described as real Christianity.

According to the cleric, denominations have wandered into worldliness and moneymaking. Hence, there is a need for a message, which would prepare the church, as a chaste virgin to the Lord.

Calling on the federal government to appoint a credible hand to oversee the 2011 general election, the cleric said the nation could only move forward if riggings, which have characterised past polls, were forestalled. He noted that Nigerians stood to reap the benefits of good governance, if government embraces righteousness.

Abolaji lamented increase in the spread of poverty, adding that the situation makes the electorate vulnerable to moneybags. “Because of poverty, a lot of consciences are being bought over by N500 or N1000. People are, therefore, not able to vote for what is good. They will only vote because they have received money. This should be discouraged,” he said.

The LMM is expected to be attended by ministers within Lagos State.
