The Federal High Court sitting in Gusau, Zamfara State capital, has adjourned the case filed by an APC chieftain, Dr. Sani Abdulahi Shinkafi, against the All Progressive Congress, APC, INEC, and Sen. Sahabi Yau’ Kaura, challenging his senatorial primary election disqualification to 31st August, 2026.

Justice Hassan Dikko, the presiding judge, said that the court will sit on Wednesday to pass judgement, as it will study the documents submitted.

Addressing newsmen after the session, Barrister Bello Idris Galadi, Counsel to Shinkafi, said that both the plaintiffs and defending candidates have all adopted their statements waiting for the judgement of the court.

The Council lead of Shinkafi said that the evidence presented to the court is very clear for verification.

He called on Dr. Shinkafi to focus on his political career, saying that the judgement may favour him in the end.

Recall that Dr. Shinkafi had filed a case against the All Progressive Congress APC, INEC, and Senator Sahabi Yau’Kaura, seeking the cancellation of the Zamfara North senatorial district election result.

He claimed that he was cheated following the irregularities surrounding the senatorial primary election in Zamfara APC, noting that there were a lot of irregularities in the system.
