Great Commission Movement of Nigeria has stressed the need to train transformational leaders that will serve as change agents in their spheres of vocation and influence. To this end, the Commission has established Africa Centre For Theological Studies (ACTS), Lagos branch, aimed at empowering leaders for practical service in church and all domains of society.

At the commissioning of the facility, Rev. Austin Okomohwo Director, Great Commission Movement, West Africa, stated, “the school endeavours to demonstrate excellence in academic pursuits and seeks to integrate biblical values with transformational leadership principles. It also equips leaders to reflect deeply about issues facing society and how they can become agents of transformation. The long-term aim of ACTS is to be the International Leadership University (ILU).”

The cleric called on Christians to participate in politics, saying, “Nigeria is a divine creation of God. Its strength lies in diversity. A united people will move the nation forward. If you say you don’t want to be involved in politics, you are saying you don’t want to do part of the work God has given you. All of us are in politics at every level. You cannot be walking past a dilapidated school in your area and blaming somebody else.“The Great Commission is involved in transformation, but is not partisan. But we do believe that every Christian must be involved in politics.”
