To overcome challenging situations, Christians have been urged to strengthen their faith through prayers, bible reading and rededication to serve God.

The former chairman, Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Lagos Chapter, Apostle Bisi Adedire, gave this charge at the inauguration of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (CSMC), Let’s Share the Grace District, Kaduna, and the installation of the Church district’s chairman, Prophet Samuel Leke Samson.

Adedire, who represented the spiritual father of CSMC Worldwide, Samuel Adefila Abidoye, said the new position demands prayers for the sick, faith and dedication to God.

He said: “Ordination is for service and not to be served; so, do not think since you have been chosen and ordained that people should serve while you relax.”

Citing Mark 3:14, Adedire noted that Jesus Christ called his disciples to be with him and after that, sent them out to preach the word, adding that Jesus Christ although ordained 12 disciples, one of them betrayed him.

Stressing that being ordained does not free one from the devil and his antics, Adedire called on the new priest to be mindful of his activities and also to shun any act that will put him and the church in the mud.

He said: “This is the time you will use your personal money for the work of God without seeking for a refund. You must be sincere and selfless because ordination is a call to higher responsibilities and the higher you go, the more responsibilities you have.”
