Christians have been called to illuminate the world by working to actualise their dreams and divine goals of making heaven. This called was made at the seventh edition of World Changers Convention (WCC) held at Owerri, Imo State.

Speaking at the event organised by Truelight Glory House and with theme, “Arise and Shine,” Leadership Coach, Benjamin Dike, disclosed that the world had illumination problem until God introduced light into it.

Explaining the importance of light, he noted that one’s area of influence is proportional to the degree of light an individual is carrying, adding that Christians should always be full of the spirit if they must excel.

He said: “Whatever you do, bring out the light in you. The current level of light would not conquer the darkness in the world. We need to rise above the ordinary to the direction of God’s call.”

Global Senior Pastor, Truelight Glory House, Ifeanyi Uwakwe, disclosed that to rise above the ordinary, one must engage the principles of fasting, praying and giving, stressing that Christians should drop their earthly burden and focus on their journey to heaven because distractions will make them lose focus of where they are destined to be.

Uwakwe, who is the convener, said putting God first, having a vision for the top, living uprightly and being a blessing to humanity are some of the secrets to rising above the ordinary.

He said: “Stop thinking ordinary survival, think and influence, because it is easy to influence a system from up to down. Mediocrity is the secret to obscurity,” he noted.

Former Principal, Federal Government College, Keffi, Nassarawa State, Dr. Obiajulu Ajala, urged the youths to strive to improve themselves and acquire ICT skills among others that would position them to getting highflying jobs and also to compete with their peers anywhere in the world.

According to her, to be successful, one must first be humble, diligent, build capacity, have good character and a role model, be sensitive in relationships, avoid unhealthy competition, and as well have integrity.

For Senior Pastor, Assemblies of God Church, Ikenegbu Owerri Branch, Bethel Nwanegbu, sources of light that can make one standout include, the light of God’s presence, the word of God, light of divine wisdom and light of righteousness, saying Christians should be mindful of their current actions, as what is celebrated today would be tolerated tomorrow, adding that commanding influence requires bringing mental stamina to bear in whatever one does and emitting inherent light.

Lead Pastor, Heavenworld Church Unlimited, Victor Orji, said light is key to exploit and guarantees speed. He called on Christians to reject materialism and be on fire for our Lord, Jesus Christ.
