Making the right choice – Part 1

Prophet Sunday O. Nwabeke

All the heroes recorded in the Bible were people that made choices for their lives. God has given man the “will power” to choose what he wants.

God honours your choice. The choice you make today will either work for you or against you tomorrow.

Thus, it’s very sensitive area where a lot of things have to be put into consideration. “…that I’ve set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live Deuteronomy 30:19B.

What are the choices you make on a daily basis? To choose blessing is to see yourself from the perspective God sees you, and to work toward those things that attract blessing.

Every person’s maturity is measured on the scale of his/her decision or the choice the person makes. Age is a number, but maturity springs from the inside. The power of choice determines how your future can be shaped.

Choice is a force that can lift you above all your peers. Prosperity in this kingdom is a matter of choice. Thousands of people are marching to hell and perpetual frustration, while a good numbers of people are wealthy everyday.

Does it mean God is partial? This is not true, but the power of choice makes the difference.

One can be poor and still go to hell, and another can be rich and make heaven. Therefore, prosperity is not a sin. Change your perception and illuminate your mind with understanding.

It’s a balanced choice that brings a balanced life. The woman with the issue of blood wouldn’t have received her miracle if not for the choice she made. The earthly lineage of Jesus wouldn’t have been traced to Ruth, if not for the choice she made thousand of years ago.

“And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge, thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God” Ruth 1:16.

This is excellent. This woman foresaw her glorious destination and was determined to get there by force, regardless of all distractions and discouragement.

Ruth’s choice made her an icon of emulation in her generation, and the effect rings to this very moment. Ruth said to Naomi, “Your people shall be my people”. She had passion for her destiny, and didn’t want any external factor to rob her of her blessing.

When destiny lacks passion, it remains unaccomplished. Passion is the ability to do it again and again until you succeed. Did you make a choice yesterday and what was the outcome?

Your ability to continue in the realm of making positive choices determines your next level of placement.

Joseph made a choice to follow the Lord and this opened to him another prospect in life endeavour. Factors that influence your choice negatively:

Poor Mentality
When your mentality lacks prosperity, healing, salvation and deliverance orientation, you suffer degradation and deterioration. People can also be engulfed by chains of poverty, based on family background and this will affect the way they talk, walk, see, smell, touch, hear and handle.

For instance, if nobody in your family had ever bought a car, such ugly experience can influence your choice making and consequently place you in a position of a nobody.

In an atmosphere of such scenario, believe that with God you can make it, that what affected your family lineage cannot affect you.

Further more, change your mental orientation and back it up with prayers in order to experience a miracle. When your mentality is low when it comes to issues of healing and deliverance, then you can’t encounter any.
