The General Overseer and Presiding Bishop, Calvary Kingdom Church International, Archbishop Joseph Imariabe Ojo has called on political officeholders to show sincerity and patriotism in handling state affairs.

Archbishop Ojo, who spoke at the Independent Newspapers Limited (INL) 2021 yearly Thanksgiving Service with theme: “Lift Up Your Head, O Ye Gate,” urged Nigerians to look beyond the current challenges of insecurity and poor governance the nation is passing through and hope for better society soon. He observed the forces working in favour of the country are more than the ones against it.

The cleric who represented the President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, said the INL Thanksgiving Service theme has to do with Nigerians lifting up their heads to see beyond the immediate challenges, adding that despite the challenges that God is going to put smiles on Nigerians.

The Editor of the newspaper, Don Okere, who represented the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Steve Omanufeme, asked workers to remain diligent and be part of those that would reap the fruits of long patience.

Also, the Pastor in charge of the fellowship and Editor, Saturday Independent, Yemi Adebisi, said the yearly event has established unity in the organization and has been the only thing that unites the company’s management and staff since the fellowship came on board. Adebisi also called on his co-workers not to lose hope, but believe God for a turnaround.
