Rhema Christian Church and towers holds convention, installs Akinola Archbishop, consecrate others

The Archbishop designate of Rhema Christian Church and Towers, Sango, Ogun State, Dr. Taiwo Akinola, in a briefing to mark the Rhema Church 33rd World Convention, said God is ready to restore Nigeria and make the country great again if only the people and their leaders can truly serve God.

Speaking at the church headquarters, Sango, the Archbishop designate disclosed that the theme of the convention is “Exceeding Grace,” taken from Acts 4:33.

He noted that God is going to release tremendous grace on all participants and as well bring dramatic solutions to all our life’s challenges.
He noted that the event will start on Sunday, November 3 by 9am with the anniversary lecture at the Church headquarters and, thereafter, the great opening ceremony will take place by 5:00pm the same day.

The cleric disclosed that from Monday 4 to Friday, November 8, the convention will feature morning prayer rain (6am), specialised seminar discussions and encounter miracle service (10am), ministers’ conference (12noon) and evening word feast/miracle rally (5:00pm).

According to him, the yearly Hosanna Night will hold on Friday night, November 8, from 9pm till dawn with celebrated gospel artistes, including Bolanle Adeoye, Bose Ogunleye, Anthonia Emebru, Eunice Unique and K. Kelly (the gospel fuji singer) among others to the stand.

The grand finale will hold on Sunday, November 10, starting from 9 am at the church premises with family thanksgiving, communion, ordination, consecration, investiture and commissioning service

Ministers expected to feature at the event include Bishop Francis Wale Oke, Archbishop Joseph Ojo, Archbishop John Osa-Oni, Dr. Paul Fakunle, Bishop Anietie Etukudoh, Bishop Jide Orire, Bishop Benson Ashiedu, Bishop Elect Adesina Olufade among others.

Akinola noted that the church is partnering with some public-spirited Nigerians to meet the physical needs of people by giving out food items to the needy, adding that the camping facilities will be on a first-come, first-served basis, saying there will be two decent meals per day for the campers, free medical consultations, treatment of minor ailments and health talks throughout the convention.

He also revealed that the church will consecrate two new Bishops — Mrs. Ireti Akinola and Sina Olufade — saying, both have shown capacity for the next level in their kingdom responsibilities.

Dr. Akinola will equally be formally installed as a Charismatic Archbishop superintending Rhema Christian Church, Christ Global Network (CGN) and International Communion of Charismatic and Apostolic Ministers (ICCAM).
