TACN appoints Ogunibe as 7th LAWMNA chairman

The Apostolic Church, Nigeria (TACN), LAWMNA Territory, Ketu, Lagos, has appointed Pastor Moses Oluwole Ogunibe as its new Territorial Chairman. By his appointment, Ogunibe becomes the 7th helmsman in the administration of TACN. He took over from the Emeritus Territorial Chairman of LAWMNA Territory of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN), Pastor S. G. O. Uyeh.

Others elected to steer the affairs of the church, include Pastor Abraham Bonzy Geoffrey(Territorial Vice Chairman; Pastor Ebenezer Oluseun Abe (Territorial Administrative Secretary), while Pastor Gabriel Olugbenga Ayotunde Alakuko is the Territorial Deputy Administrative Secretary.

The outgoing Territorial Chairman, Pastor S. G. O. Uyeh, disclosed while addressing journalists in Lagos on the appointment of new LAWMNA officers.

Uyeh said various decision-making organs of TACN, including the Executive Council, General Executive Council and General Council have ratified the appointments of the new officers.

Speaking on his tenure as the 6th LAWNA Territorial Chairman and National Vice President of TACN, Uyeh highlighted some of his achievements to include increased evangelism, support initiatives for widows and widowers, prison outreach programmes and investments in education.

He also revealed that the Church established the Glorious Vision International Hospital, which would beopened soon to the public.
Uyeh also called for national unity, moral rebirth and responsible political leadership, saying Nigerians have deviated from moral virtues, ethics, and values for which they were once known for in the early years its independence.

Calling on the leaders to understand that power is transient, Uyeh said they should use it for the benefit of the people. He urged them to shun impunity, political wickedness and allow equity, fairness and justice to prevail in all official affairs.

As the nation prepares for another election season, the Emeritus Territorial Chairman enjoined politicians to tread carefully and ensure that the interest of the country supersedes personal ambition and political scheming.

While calling the government to end insecurity, kidnapping, banditry, and pockets of religious extremism, Uyeh urged politicians to avoid actions and utterances capable of further heating the polity. He also called on INEC to live up to its responsibility and to ensure free and fair elections.

The incoming LAWMNA Territorial Chairman, Ogunibe said his leadership would focus on, straightening unity and spiritual revival across the territory; aggressive evangelism and church growth; empowerment and restoration of youths; inclusion and support for physically challenged members; completion of ongoing church projects; expansion of church ventures for financial stability and honour for widows, widowers and retired members, among others.
