The 7th Divine Common Wealth Conference of Church Of Nigeria (Anglican Communion)
Praise be to God Almighty as the 7th Edition of the Divine Common Wealth Conference of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) kicks off tomorrow to November 17, at the National Christian Centre, Abuja. This yearly event is expected to attract Christian faithful within and outside the nation. Indeed, in Christ, we have our Common Wealth for there is no East, West, North or South.
As usual, the convener and the instrument God used in bringing the conference to being, the Primate of All Nigeria, Most Rev. Nicholas D. Okoh, chose a theme to guide the conference: “We Have The Man Jesus,“ John 5:1-11. In this passage, Jesus healed a man that was sick for 38 years whose problem had become a way of life. The man had no hope of even being healed and his situation was hopeless. However, no matter how trapped you feel in your infirmities, God can minister to your deepest needs. Don’t allow trouble or hardship make you lose hope. God may have special work for you to do in spite of your condition or even because of it.
By extension, this conference is giving delegates and Nigerians hope, as long as we have the Man Jesus. People have failed; situations and systems have also failed over time. However, no problem or situation will remain unsurmountable no matter how long it lingers. With Jesus at the conference, things will surely turn around for good. Amen!
Understandably, we have series of talks, Bible Studies, revival hours, prayer sessions, deliverances and counselling sessions put in place and anointed men of God are on hand to attend to delegates. The chairman of the conference planning committee, Rt. Rev. Tunde Adeleye, Bishop of Calabar says with great expectation that: “the power of God will be at work throughout the conference to heal and deliver His people to His own glory and praise”. Thank God for what He is doing and what He is going to do at this conference.”
I recall with great enthusiasm the volume of testimonies that heralded last year’s conference denoting God’s presence. I am persuaded to believe that this time around, more shall be recorded as God is never tired of attending to His people and improving their lot.
Really, this Divine Common Wealth Conference is a time for sober reflection, intimate fellowship with God and His people. It, therefore, suggests that all roads should lead to this arena of power and hope, as God visits His people mightily. Please don’t be left out for there, We Have The Man Jesus!
