Beloved, we live in solemn and urgent days. The hour is late, the night is far spent, and eternity presses upon the soul of every man and woman. The Spirit of God is sounding an alarm across the earth, calling sinners to repentance. Heaven is real; hell is real. Death is certain and judgment is sure. Salvation is offered now— now, while mercy still speaks!
The holy scriptures, written by inspiration of God, warn us again and again that time is short. Life is, but a vapour, and opportunity does not linger forever. Many plan for tomorrow as though tomorrow is guaranteed, yet the word of God declares otherwise. “Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth,” (Proverbs 27:1, KJV).
This message is not written to entertain the mind, but to awaken the soul. It is not meant to condemn, but to convince; not to flatter, but to confront. If the holy ghost will open your heart, you will see that there is no more time to delay your response to God. Eternity hangs in the balance.
The Brevity Of Life And The
Deceitfulness Of Delay
ONE of the greatest deceptions of the enemy is the lie of delay. Satan rarely tells a sinner: “Do not be saved.” Instead, he whispers, “Not now. Later. Tomorrow. When you are older. When things settle down.” Thus multitudes drift into eternity unprepared, not because they rejected Christ outrightly, but because they postponed obedience until time ran out.
The word of God speaks plainly concerning the shortness of life: “For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away,” (James 4:14). A vapour is here for a moment and gone the next. So is human life. No matter how strong, wealthy, educated or religious a person may be, life on this earth is fleeting.
Scripture reminds us that our days are numbered. “Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass,” (Job 14:5). God alone knows when your final breath will be drawn. You may know your age, but you do not know your remaining time.
Yet, in spite of these warnings, men and women live carelessly, as though death is a distant stranger and judgment, a myth. Jesus, Himself, told a sobering parable about a rich man who trusted in tomorrow. “But God said unto him, thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee,” (Luke 12:20). That man planned for many years, but God called him that very night. His barns were full, but his soul was empty.
Delay is dangerous because the heart grows harder with time. The Bible says: “To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts,” (Hebrews 3:15). Every time a person hears the gospel and refuses to respond, the conscience becomes less sensitive. What once troubled the heart no longer moves it. Tears dry up. Conviction fades. Sin becomes easier. Repentance becomes harder.
Many have sat under the preaching of the word, felt the tug of the spirit, and said: “I will respond later.” But later never came. Felix trembled when Paul reasoned with him of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, yet he said, “Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee” (Acts 24:25). Scripture never records that convenient season ever arrived.
Death does not send a warning letter. Accidents do not give appointments. Sickness does not ask for permission. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment,” (Hebrews 9:27). Once death comes, opportunity ends. There is no repentance in the grave, no salvation beyond the tomb. The rich man in hell lifted up his eyes in torment, but it was too late to change his destiny (Luke 16:23).
If you are unsaved today, hear this truth with sobriety: delaying repentance is gambling with your eternal soul. If you are living in sin, postponing obedience, excusing compromise, the clock is ticking. The mercy of God is vast, but it is not endless. The door of the ark was open for a season, but the day came when God shut it. When the flood arrived, it was too late to enter.
Friend, there is no more time to play with sin, to flirt with the world, or to silence conviction. “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near,” (Isaiah 55:6). The nearness of God is a gift. Do not presume it will always remain.
The gospel message is urgent because eternity is unchanging. Once a soul steps into eternity, its condition is fixed forever. There are only two destinies—eternal life with God or eternal separation from Him. Jesus said: “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal,” (Matthew 25:46).
Hell is not a metaphor; it is a reality spoken of by Christ, Himself. He described it as a place of fire, darkness, weeping, and gnashing of teeth. “Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched,” (Mark 9:44). No pleasure of sin, no delay, no earthly gain is worth the loss of an immortal soul.
Yet God, in His great love, has made a way of escape. He does not delight in the death of the wicked. “As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live,” (Ezekiel 33:11). The cross of Jesus Christ stands as the supreme proof of God’s love and urgency.
Jesus came because there was no more time for humanity to save itself. “But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son,” (Galatians 4:4). At Calvary, Christ bore our sins, suffered our punishment, and paid our debt in full. “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,” (1 Peter 2:24).
Salvation is not earned by good works, church attendance or religious effort. It is received by repentance and faith. “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). Repentance is a turning of the heart—from sin to God, from self-rule to Christ’s lordship. Faith is trusting wholly in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
The call of the gospel is immediate. “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation,” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Not tomorrow. Not next year. Not when life is more convenient. Now! Every heartbeat is a borrowed time. Every breath is mercy extended.
For the believer, this message is also urgent. Time is short for service, holiness and soul winning. Jesus said: “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work,” (John 9:4). Soon, opportunities to witness, to pray, to serve, and to live for God will be gone forever.
The return of Christ draws near. Scripture declares, “Surely I come quickly,” (Revelation 22:20). When He comes, it will be sudden, final, and glorious for the saved—but dreadful for the lost. There will be no second chance after the trumpet sounds.
Dear soul; what will you do with Jesus? You cannot remain neutral. To delay is to decide. To postpone is to reject. The same sun that melts wax hardens clay. The same gospel that saves the humble condemns the proud.
If the Holy Spirit is convicting you now, do not resist Him. Fall on your knees in repentance. Confess your sins to God. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved,” (Romans 10:9).
Time is running out. Eternity is approaching. The door of mercy stands open—but it will not remain open forever. Choose life. Choose Christ. Choose now. There is no more time.
Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing
Sister’s Surgery Successful After G.O.’s Prayers
OUR Sister, Nicole, is thanking God for making her family and herself, members of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries. She said she worships at the Torin branch of The Lord’s Chosen.
Last year, Sister Nicole said she was in tears, but when she attended the church’s crusade held in Germany, she got her joy.
Testifying to the goodness of God in her life, she said: “Last year, l had some complications due to miscarriage and I started bleeding. I went to the hospital and the doctor said my situation was critical. After, I did scan, the doctor said undergoing a surgery would be dangerous, so, they thought ofremoving my womb instead.
“I planned to attend the Germany crusade, but the night of the day I was to travel for the crusade, the situation worsened and I decided not to attend the crusade. I called a sister and told her that I was no longer attending the programme, but she insisted I must go. I managed to travel to Germany, the next day with the little strength in me.
“During that programme, our G.O. prayed for us and I went back. The doctor transferred me to another hospital and surgery was booked for me. When I entered the theatre I declared who I am and asked the surgery, ‘Who are you?’ After the surgery, I did a scan and was told that there was a little part of my womb they could not correct.
After three months, I went for my appointment. They tested me and said my womb was fine. Praise, the Lord!”
In her second testimony, our Sister who is a nurse in a public hospital in Italy and had graduated 10 years ago, but never thought of going back to school again due to her work and family.
Surprisingly, according to Nicole, a university called her and asked if she would like to do a master’s degree, but she declined the offer.
Speaking further, she said: “They said if I do qualifying exams and pass all my papers, I will be allowed to pursue the master’s degree free of charge, and I accepted. Now, not only that l passed the qualifying examinations, I have completed my master’s degree and graduated with the highest honour. Praise, the Lord!”
Attesting that the God of Chosen is great, our sister prayed for God to bless our G.O. and also for all members of the church to make heaven in Jesus’ name.
