Week 5: Can you seek him for a while?
In today’s opening scripture, the altar was supposed to be set apart and sanctified for seven days to cleanse it and to make atonement for it. After the exercise, the Lord promised to accept them and their offerings.
Whenever God wants to do something extraordinary in the life of any of His child, He will draw his heart to seek His face more intensely than before. Whenever God draws you to “seek ye my face” your response to God should be: “Thy face, LORD, will I seek” (Psalm 27:8).
God wants to do something extraordinary in your life. Can you set yourself to seek His face for a protracted season? It may be a couple of hours, a whole day, many days or a whole week. It may even be a whole month. It may be more. It may require that you to go aside to a secluded place to seek the Lord, and it may be done while you still perform your daily schedule. It may be with fasting, and it may not be. But you are to set your heart to truly seek the Lord until He shows you His glory.
It is time for you to set yourself apart unto the Lord, to repent and to consecrate yourself afresh to the Lord, asking Him to show Himself strong in your behalf. If you do it faithfully, you will see the glory of God.And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13).
