Importance of jubilee celebration
The joyous atmosphere that pervades Zion is not to celebrate 50th anniversary like in the secular world, rather it is to show appreciation to God for the landmark victory He gave Zion.
Like in the days of our fathers in the Holy book, the land of Canaan had been promised to the Israelites, but the wall of Jericho was an imposing barricade to deny them entry, Joshua: 6, 1-3.
Eventually, our Lord came through on His promise and pulled down the wall after the Israelites had danced round about the wall, Joshua: 6, 20.
Similarly, the wall of Jericho of our time was demolished at The Saints Gospel Church of Christ (Shadow Tabernacle). Sons and daughters of Zion were shut out of the land given to us by God, but I and Tabernacle children were undeterred and kept praising God because He specifically told us that the wall was no longer there.
So, it was on a glorious afternoon on May 23, 2000, our Lord God that works with the hand of fire broke down the wall in three distinct places to further lead credence to the Holy trinity, a belief well entrenched in the tabernacle.
This peculiar victory was what gave birth to the feast of Jubilee at The Saints Gospel Church of Christ (Shadow Tabernacle), Igando, Lagos.
So, like we have been doing for a long time now, The children of Zion danced around Igando town, to show gratitude to our Lord Who works with the hand of fire, for He fought for Zion and vindicated His people.
As we look forward to another Jubilee in 2020, may the blessings of “hand of fire” continue to abide with us.
