God instructed me to go into seclusion from October 1 to 21 in 1977 to declare this place open for the yearly festival of Jieawowrrar. Since then, we have been observing the feast and God has been so good to us.

In 1978, with the help of King Sunny Ade we fenced the land against land grabbers and also began to write down our prophecy for the coming year. Odogbolu has a lot of deities, but we were able to overcome all of them.
However since 1977, we have been receiving support form eminent personalities within and outside the country. It is worthy of note that God gave me a warning not to charge anybody for my services because freely He gave the powers to me and freely I must serve the people. But if anyone comes to appreciate me for what God has used me to do in his/her life, I will hopefully collect it. That is the reason some people have been wondering the kind of minister I am. My spiritual obligation is very transparent.
How many branches do you have?
By the grace of God, we have 21 branches both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora.
How did you come about the name Jieawowrrar?
God chose the name Himself. The name was written on a flag when God gave it to me. He told me not to deviate from the usage because the flag would go all over the world and I quickly jotted it down. God remains the only One that can tell the meaning of the name. He only instructed us to use it.
Forty-five years down and still counting, what exactly can you hold as your reference point?
As I said earlier on, what I can specifically hold on to is to allow God to perform His duties on you if He called you into the ministry. Listen and commit yourself to Him, obey Him and as He said to the children of Israel: “I will always go ahead of you;” He will never forsake you. That is what we are holding on to; that is our commitment to Him. Let me summarise it by saying, it is “commitment and sacrifice.”
What is the vision and mission of the church?
[ad]
The vision is: “I have sent you to the field, go and work, and come back.”
When it is time to reward you, I will do so.” The Bible is our reference. We believe in the word and nothing else. We believe in both the Old and New Testaments; so, the mission is to spread the gospel across the world. We believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
What is the church’s plan for the youth?
The role youths are playing in this church cannot be adequately quantified. We have made them to see that the future of the church is in their hands and they are living up to that responsibility. The future of this nation and their local government is in their hands. They are ambassadors of God and wherever God locates them, they should always remember the son of whom they are. They have been performing brilliantly and even urging us to reactivate the Church’s Seminary College established many years ago. Very soon, people will know much about the school.
One of our camps called Gilgal Camp is along the Odogbolu-Lagos Express Way. Development is ongoing there. A baby needs to crawl before walking. We are currently crawling, note it, we will soon get on our feet and many people will know that something is happening here.
What is the church’s CSR for the community?
We are looking after the elderly, the motherless and the orphanage. Every year, during lent we gather clothing from people, food and also contribute money for the needy. We look forward to doing more
Is there any special thing for the 45th anniversary?
The activities focus on the less privileged. We want to put a smile on their faces. However, I have been in seclusion with some men fasting and praying for the past 21 days. Focusing on the less privilege is not limited to people living in Odogbolu alone, but people from other parts of the state.
We shall also pray for single and mature youths who are prepared for marriage to have their wives and husbands; and people that want to travel abroad, among others. Every year, we try to alleviate the sufferings of the people in our own little way. Where money is necessary, we raise it for them. In fact, we have a department that caters for people who are financially down. We have also been awarding scholarships to students in different tertiary institutions.
What is your take on insecurity and the nation’s economy?
[ad]
Currently, what we are enjoying now in the country is God’s security, but government should work to secure lives and property. Government has to be more sensitive to the cries of the people because a lot of people are suffering. Those in power should understand the plight of Nigerians and come up with policies that will lessen the hardship. We, as a church, are praying for our leaders according to the commands of the scripture. God is the owner of Nigeria and the lives of everyone and this is the reason we are pleading with our leaders to learn from the past and honour God and do the right thing for all Nigerians.
What is your advice to Nigerians about 2023 polls and the polity?
My advice is that people should not sell their votes. Although from my own observations, poverty and ignorance are the main reasons some Nigerians sell their votes. Government should enlighten the people the more. Imagine, some people sell their votes for a cup of rice and perhaps, additional N500.00. Politicians know what they want and go out to get it at all cost.
Politicians should remember the likes of King Nebuchadnezzar and Herod in the Bible and have a rethink of their actions. They should know that nothing is permanent and as such do the right thing when elected to power.
Furthermore, I think it will be proper for Nigeria to have a true federalism, where the regions will be empowered to produce at their best or have healthy competition among themselves. There should also be regional police because our current police force cannot do all the work. Regional policing will help nip crime on the bud.
