Living for Christ – Part 4

Jn 3:8-10 says, “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”

Brethren, living for Christ entails strict adherence to righteousness in all manner of conversation. If you claim to be living for Christ and at the same time have no passion for righteousness, your claim is false. If you are still controlled by the spirit in charge of sin, and thus live by sin, it is an indication that you are not living for Christ and therefore not of His. That is what differentiated those living for Christ and those living for the devil. He that lives for Christ is the same with he that leads a pious and godly life, and continues so to do. He is not an evildoer, not a worker of iniquity, and is not a habitual or customary sinner. He that lives for Christ goes not in any way to commit sin, as the wicked, who makes a trade of sin does. He does not tolerate or allow himself in any single act of sin; not that he is absolutely free from all sin, but he is conscious of righteousness and wants to do everything that will bring glory to the kingdom of heaven, where he belongs.

The reasons those living for Christ cannot sin as the wicked is because godly seed is bestowed on them, and as a result, they are born of God; that is, they have an inward principle inclining and disposing them to hate and oppose all sin, and they have that mortifying Spirit, which cause them daily to humble themselves.

So, as many who claim they are Christians, but continue to live in sin should take advantage of this message and surrender their lives totally to Jesus Christ and also begin to live for Him. You cannot be living for Christ and the devil at same time, that is an aberration.

Hebrews 1:9 says, “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.”

To attract the Spirit of God to be able to live for Christ, and be exalted above your fellows, you must hate unrighteousness and all forms of iniquities and evil with a passion. This is because the Spirit of God has commissioned and set you aside to preach good tidings unto the meek, give hope to the despondent, declare freedom to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. Truly, you are a special person to God, if you are living for Him.

Hebrews 10:7 says, “Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.”
As it was said of Christ that He would come and be the great High Priest of the church, and offer up a perfect and perfecting sacrifice, so, it is recorded of you as one living for Christ that you should do only God’s Will and must do it in accordance with the scriptures and nothing else. You must love and encourage good, hate evil and discourage its practice.

Beloved, the unrighteous shall never inherit God’s kingdom. Anybody who continues in sin is committing adultery with the Spirit of the devil, because having been bought over with the blood of Jesus, he is married to Him and so cannot afford to be living a double lifestyle, that is, being a Christian on one hand and on the other be into one or all kinds of sin; God forbid. Let us, therefore, live for Him and in Him, for we are the temple of the Lord and cannot afford to go into sin because we are married to Christ.

Rev. 4:11 says, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
It is very important we all know the purpose of our creation. We are all created for God’s pleasure and to do His bidding and not otherwise. Every living soul owes it, as a duty in all his doing to ensure it is the desire cum will of God and His pleasure that he must do. Anything one is doing on earth that is short of God’s Will is antithetical to the purpose of creation. It is, therefore, necessary to categorically state that all are created to live for Christ and if you are not living for Christ, you are not meeting the calling of your creation. Our Lord Jesus Christ stressed clearly what we ought to do in life.

Matt. 4:10 says, “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
Anybody who refuses to serve God and do His will, to live his/her life for the pleasure and will of God will find himself/herself doing the will of Satan and glorifying same, contrary to the will of God, and that person will never see His kingdom. This is because God forbids every kind of religious adoration to any other object than Himself, whether it be idols, false gods, highly placed individuals, Virgin Mary, saints, or angels. If you live for Christ, you are assured of a life of peace, protection and bearing fruits in every area of your life in Jesus name.

John 15:8,16 says “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

If you live for and abide in our Lord Jesus Christ, you will bear fruits and also bring lost souls into God’s kingdom. The truth is very scarce in times like these, but I advise you to take advantage of the truth of this message to surrender totally to God’s Will and begin to live for Him, so you shall not be damned thinking you are standing, whereas you had already fallen. It is good you examine your life again and ascertain whether your life is glorifying, God or Satan. Is your life bringing glory to God? Judge yourself now before it is too late. You must decide from this moment to live the rest of your live for our Lord Jesus Christ and do His will always in all things and to finish His work, because I am very sure that God will never leave you as can be confirmed in the book of John 8:29 which says, “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”

Amend your ways and ensure that nothing is standing between you and God, and decide to live for Him and stand by Him. Surely, you will never regret it in Jesus name. If you are a Sinner, backslider or compromiser reading this message, you should confess and forsake your sins and promise God never to go back to them, because the word of God says in 1Cor. 6:9-10,“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

Beloved, run away from evil, hate evil and do not encourage evil. Rather, love righteousness and encourage same. Begin to live your life for Christ and this God we are preaching will give you the grace and the privileges that come with identifying and living for Him, because when you seek God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, all other things shall be added unto you according to Matt. 6:33 which says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

DARE-DEVIL Armed Robber Drops His Gun
BRETHREN, when I had an encounter with the true God, the inevitable happened, as God’s Will came to pass in my life. And today, I am no longer an armed robber but a Chosen, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar person. The Bible says in 2Pe 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” God is delaying the second coming of Christ or rapture for no other reason other than that somebody like me would repent.

My name is Brother Bright Joseph. I hail from Abia State. Before now, I was not just a cultist, but also a hardened armed robber for nine years. During those years, I didn’t remember attending any Church or participating in worship at any church. I considered it foolishness on the part of those that worshipped God.

My gradual entry into robbery started, when I joined a cult group. After initiation, I became emboldened to do anything. I was discontented with everything in life, and as a result, I began picking pocket. From there, I bought a gun, had my life fortified with charms by a strong and known sorcerer in the city and went into full robbery. Within few months, I formed a gang and was having my ways. But one day, when we went for an operation, I was shot and because I could not treat the wound in any hospital, I returned to the village to nurse it. A native doctor I was introduced to was able to effectively use some herbs, which quickly healed the wound. Immediately after the healing, I ran back to my gang, as I had no money to even buy food.

Meanwhile, I had decided not to be temperate again in the course of robbery, because I believed this was the reason I was shot. So, I concluded that my second coming would be decisive and brutal. I also engaged some native doctors who made charms to facilitate my success in every operation.

During an operation, I killed one person. There was another operation where one of my friends was killed. At that juncture, I vowed to revenge and so shot one boy. That made two people I killed when I became an armed robber.One day, as I was planning a robbery operation, a woman met me in the market and gave me a handbill, inviting me to her church service in The Lord’s Chosen. After the woman left, I squeezed the handbill and threw it away, though I promised to attend.

Three days later, she called me to remind me of the invitation. I told her I hadn’t forgotten and that I would attend, even though I was planning to dodge her that day. Surprisingly, on the appointed day, when the woman came, all the lies I planned to tell vanished from my memory. I couldn’t advance any reason for not following her to the programme. Before I knew it, I had finished preparation and followed her. She first took me to her shop in the market and from there; we went to the church service.

On that day, I had on my body and my eyes some of the charms that helped me to discern who had money. The one in my eyes was for the identification of anyone holding money, so I could rob him/her. If someone had money, smoke would be coming out from my eyes and I would eventually collect the money.

As I entered the church that day, the woman directed me to a seat. Immediately, I sat down, my body became hot, prompting me to get up. I stood up and went to another chair, but I was still not comfortable. As I was contemplating what next to do, whether to leave the church or not, I looked at the altar and immediately, I felt that all the charms in my body and eyes had been destroyed, and their powers neutralised.

It was there I realised God’s power is higher than that of charms. As the Pastor ministered, it was as if he was condemning me. And when he started praying, he prophetically said the God he served had arrested an armed robber in the congregation. Lo and behold, from that day, I regretted all my evil deeds and took the decision to follow the God of the Chosen. That day was the first time in nine years that I entered into a church.Truly, God of Chosen arrested me. I pray for forgiveness of all my sins, including stealing and killing I committed in the course of my years in armed robbery. I thank God for granting me the salvation of my soul. To God be the glory!
