In a bid to ensure the welfare of students, Caretaker Committee of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Students’ Union (MAPSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an insurance firm, LASACO Assurance Plc.

Tagged, Students’ Welfare Insurance Scheme (SWIS), the scheme covers the purchase of books and payment of tuition fees for any full-time student, whose identified sponsor die, while still a student of the school. The package also covers the award of N70,000 for the burial of the sponsor of such student.

Other benefits include, the award of N250,000 for any student who suffers temporary (dislocations, fractures, sprains etc.) or permanent disability (loss of hands, legs or paralysis); while N45,000 is earmarked for medical expenses of such victim.
