The newly installed chairman of Leguru Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ogun State, Hon. Ololade Onakoya, has promised to render essential services to the people of the newly created council, to complement efforts of the state government.

Leguru LCDA, formerly under Odogbolu local government, is one of the 37 newly created councils by Governor Ibikunle Amosun, out of the existing 20 local governments, with a view to bringing the policies and programmes of government closer to the grassroots.

While commending the bold initiative of the governor and his father, Otunba Babatunde Onakoya for the roles played as well as the support of APC members in Leguru LCDA for the success story, he promised all-round transformation of the area.

“My people should expect very good governance at this time, as I am putting everything together into ‘one’, I have been in the system through the influence of my biological father, with some respectful leaders in the state, particularly in the new Leguru LCDA area where I belong.

“What inspired me to put all efforts in politics is that I want my people to get closer to the government at this time, so that our people, particularly in Leguru can feel and enjoy the importance of good governance at all times. However, the good governance comprises of good roads, empowerment programmes for the women and youths and so on, sincerely, I know what my people need, and I am very sure that they will be proud of me when it’s time.”
