Unlock your limitations – Part 2

Okene

To unlock your limitations, you need to understand the powers that can limit you and then know how to deal with them. The first of such powers is, “The Power of Ignorance.” It is often said that what you do not know cannot kill you. But this is not true because ignorance has brought a lot of destruction and limitations upon men. Most times, we do not even know what we are capable of doing until we are confronted with challenges. There is a story of a lion cub that was picked from the wild and raised among sheep. It grew to the size of an adult lion, but behaved very sheepishly. A few times, the flock of sheep was terrorised by a lion from the bush and the sheepish lion would flee for safety along with the other sheep.

One day, while trying to drink water from the river, it saw its reflection in the water and ran away thinking that the terror lion had come again. When it returned to the river and observed carefully, it discovered that the reflection was its own image. That day, it got a revelation of its true identify and so decided never again to remain in the sheepfold but crossed to the other side of the jungle to manifest its potential. May you also cross every river of limitation and begin to operate in the fullness of your potential in Jesus’ name.

There are three sets of persons we can identify with respect to knowledge. The first are those who are ignorant but do not know that they are ignorant. There are many of such persons everywhere and it is really difficult to help them.

The second set are those that have little knowledge but will not go for deep knowledge of the subject matter. These ones are more dangerous because they tend to contend with even those who are experts in their field. Understand that life will always throw tests at you and it is the level of your knowledge that will determine if you will pass or fail. May you receive the knowledge you need to move to your next level in Jesus’ name.

When God called Abraham out of his father’s house, he wanted to teach him new things because his level of knowledge then would not sustain him where God had prepared for him. In Matt 11:28-29, Jesus gives us an open call that we come unto Him and learn from him so that we can find rest and fulfillment in life. As we daily follow Him, learning from Him, we get changed and become like Him, 2cor 3:18.

The third set are those who know they are ignorant and seek for knowledge. Prov 11:9 says the just are delivered through knowledge. May you receive the knowledge that will deliver you from limitations and fruitless struggles in life.

Jacob entered the house of Laban empty handed and he served him faithfully. But Laban did everything to limit him. One day, through a revelation from God, he got divine ideas and knowledge that unlocked his wealth. May every form of limitations in your life expire today in Jesus’ name.
