Inside Lagos Life, the browser game building a virtual Nigerian economy
The last time I checked the numbers, Lagos Life already had 7 million players in ten days. Thirty-six and a half million site visits and a peak of more than 200,000 people playing at once. The company behind the game claimed to have earned and contracted more than $170,000, and raised $500,000 at a $10 million valuation, closed in a single day from four of Africa's best-known tech investors: Flutterwave's Olugbenga Agboola, Terra Industries' Nathan Nwachuku, Mono's Abdulhamid Hassan, and Oo Nwoye.
