‘I collected half a million naira to smuggle drugs across border’

A former officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ngwoke Emmanuel, has told narcotic investigators that he collected N500, 000 to smuggle contraband (used clothing) from Seme to Lagos Island, but during a search, it was discovered to be cannabis.
