Nigeria-China trade hits $18b in H1 as zero tariff takes effect

Nigeria-China bilateral trade rose by 35 per cent to $18 billion in the first half of 2026, with Chinese imports from Nigeria surging by 80 per cent to $2.3 billion following the implementation of China’s zero-tariff policy for African countries.
